From the Desk of Senator Pinne:
I regret to inform the public that Senator Pinne will be absent from this blog for some time. As some of you might be aware of by now, Senator Pinne was taken to the hospital for surgical treatment to his right hand due to a dog bite. Fortunately there was very little tendon damage, but due to a suspected necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria) infection, Senator Pinne is still at the hospital recovering from emergency surgery. Thankfully, the infection was caught in time before it could spread any further, and he is currently recovering just fine. However, due to the nature of his injuries, he will be in the hospital for some time. To that effect, he has asked me to post an update on his personal blog informing others of the issue. He looks forward to resuming work, and posting regularly, as soon as he is feeling better. Please keep Senator Pinne in your prayers and thoughts, and wish him a speedy recovery.
